Helianthus ‘Lemon Queen’ AGM

Thin-leaved Sunflower Asteraceae

A superb, statuesque sunflower with masses of soft lemon-yellow flowers and warm brown centres, carried on tall, branching stems from late summer into autumn. Bred at Thomas Carlile’s famous Loddon Nursery near Reading, ‘Lemon Queen’ is far more refined than many of its brash annual cousins, bringing a deliciously sunny presence to the back of the border.  Loved by bees and other pollinators, it is remarkably dependable once established and looks particularly good weaving through ornamental grasses. A tall, glamorous queen who positively thrives on a little sunshine — and has absolutely no intention of being overlooked.

Height: 150–200cm
Spread: 80–100cm

Please note: depending on the time of year, some plants may be cut back before dispatch. This is normal horticultural practice and helps ensure plants arrive in good condition and establish strongly after planting.
