Galanthus plicatus ‘Walter Fish’

A snowdrop with genuine East Lambrook pedigree. Found by Andrew Norton, former owner of East Lambrook Manor, growing near the original clump of the famous Galanthus ‘Margery Fish’. A fitting place for a snowdrop destined to carry the name of Margery Fish’s husband, Walter.

A handsome, substantial Galanthus plicatus, producing upright flowers with strong green markings to both the inner and outer segments. The outer segments are long and neatly shaped, with green concentrated towards the tips, while the inners carry a bold, well-defined green mark. The flowers are held prominently above the foliage, giving it a particularly elegant appearance.

One of those snowdrops where the provenance adds considerably to the pleasure: a plant from the very heart of East Lambrook’s snowdrop history.
