A charming and unusual inverse poculiform Galanthus nivalis, found by Anne Campion in northern France. The flower has an appealing symmetry, with the green markings of the inner segments echoed on the outer segments, giving the whole flower a distinctive, almost mirrored appearance. A vigorous and easily grown snowdrop which establishes well and may even produce seedlings — a useful combination of collector interest and garden performance.

The name is particularly personal: ‘Nanou d’Amour’ was the affectionate name Anne Campion’s grandchildren gave to Anne herself. A rather lovely piece of family history preserved in a snowdrop name, and considerably more charming than the usual assortment of geographical references and obscure initials.
