Galanthus nivalis.‘TCH - 0110’

An unusual Scharlockii-type form of Galanthus nivalis from Belgium, introduced from the collection of Thomas & Chris Huber. ‘TCH-0110’ is retained under its original collection number and is distinguished by the characteristic green-tipped, elongated outer segments associated with the Scharlockii forms, together with the narrow, somewhat spreading foliage that gives these snowdrops their distinctive appearance. A particularly interesting piece of Belgian provenance for the specialist collection. 

The Huber collection number is retained rather than assigning an invented cultivar name, preserving the plant’s provenance and making it possible to distinguish this selection from other G. nivalis forms. Edulis currently lists it as ‘TCH-0110’ and has it in propagation. 

Cultivation: Grow in humus-rich, moisture-retentive but well-drained soil in light deciduous shade. Good light helps develop the characteristic green colouring. Allow the foliage to mature and die back naturally after flowering.
