Galanthus 'Mill House'
A sturdy little character with a few quirks up its sleeve. ‘Mill House’ produces nodding white flowers with attractive green markings on the outer segments, complemented by darker green markings towards the tips of the inners. Short in stature but robust in constitution, it has a particularly large, split spathe and a remarkably long pedicel, allowing the flowers to dangle gracefully — occasionally rather too enthusiastically, as they may reach the ground in wet weather!
Found by the late Cliff Curtis growing beside a watermill, this distinctive snowdrop has earned its place among the named forms of Galanthus nivalis. A charming collector’s plant with an individuality that rewards close inspection.
