Galanthus ‘Magnus’
A distinctive Galanthus elwesii with a particularly attractive two-part green marking on the inner segments: a rounded basal green blotch sits above a sharply defined, angular green V towards the apex. The separation between the two markings is what gives ‘Magnus’ its character, rather than the more usual single continuous mark.
An early- to mid-season elwesii, with good-sized flowers on a relatively compact plant. It was first listed by Long Acre in 1997, providing a useful date for its horticultural introduction.
