Galanthus nivalis ‘Dumpy Green’

A wonderfully chunky, late-flowering virescent snowdrop from North Green Snowdrops, with a rounded, almost squat flower that gives this aptly named cultivar its considerable charm. The outer segments carry attractive pale-green apical markings, while the inner segments are marked green towards the tips but lack the diffuse paired markings seen in ‘Prague Spring’, to which it bears some resemblance. A quality selection with a strong, compact presence and excellent colouring, particularly effective planted where its unusually late flowering can extend the green snowdrop season. First offered by North Green Snowdrops and now firmly established among the more distinctive virescent nivalis cultivars.
