Galanthus nivalis ‘Hedgehog Green Tip’

A distinctive Scottish snowdrop found by Cyril Lafong in 2017, with the characteristic congested, rather hedgehog-like flowers of the ‘Hedgehog’ type, but distinguished by fresh green tipping to the outer segments. The rounded flowers are packed with numerous inner segments, giving them a pleasingly tousled appearance, while the green markings add an extra touch of character. A choice collector’s snowdrop and a nice piece of modern Scottish snowdrop history. As with many of the more eccentric forms, it is wonderfully difficult to make it behave tidily — hence the name!
