Galanthus ‘Blue Trym'

A distinctive seedling from the famous ‘Trym’ stable, found and named by Margaret Owen. Seedling from G. 'Trym' and G. 'Long John'. The principal attraction is its unusually blue-green, glaucous foliage, which sets it apart even when the plant is not in flower. The neat, nodding flowers carry green markings on both inner and outer segments, with the outer segments becoming slightly recurved as they mature. Bulbs frequently produce two flowers, giving a mature clump considerable presence. A rarely seen and rather elegant member of the ‘Trym’ family, combining the architectural flower shape of its ancestry with foliage that gives it an identity all its own.
