Chrysanthemum 'Dixter Orange'
Chrysanthemum Asteraceae
A magnificent late-season performer from Great Dixter, Chrysanthemum ‘Dixter Orange’ was originally a seedling selected by Christopher Lloyd and subsequently grown on and introduced by the Great Dixter team. Its glowing, double, smoky-orange flowers are produced in remarkable abundance, beginning earlier than many garden chrysanthemums and continuing well into November. A particularly useful plant for filling gaps in the border, it is vigorous, free-flowering and reliably hardy. Grow in full sun or light shade in fertile, reasonably well-drained soil; pinch in early summer if a bushier plant is wanted.
