Cardamine pratensis ‘Flore Pleno'
Double Lady’s Smock Brassicaceae
A double-flowered pink form of the native cuckooflower, Cardamine pratensis ‘Flore Pleno’ is a graceful perennial of damp meadows, stream edges, and other consistently moist habitats. It forms neat rosettes of pinnate leaves made up of small, rounded leaflets. In spring, it produces slender upright stems carrying fully double, soft pink flowers held above the foliage. After flowering, it develops the characteristic elongated seed pods typical of the genus.
Growing Conditions
Best grown in cool, humus-rich, reliably moist soil. It thrives in full sun to partial shade and is particularly well suited to meadow-style or waterside plantings. In suitable conditions, it will gradually spread to form loose, naturalistic colonies.
