When trying out any plants that are new please take the following precautions:

• Ensure that you have identified the plant correctly ­ by checking its botanical name.
• Only try small quantities of the plant in question. If no side affects are evident then try increasing the amount.
• Avoid cocktails of new plants
• If you react badly to any plant consult a doctor and inform them of the species you think has caused the problem, always taking a piece of the plant with you.
  

Remember large quantities of any plant may cause problems i.e. cabbage & Jerusalem artichokes.
